PROFILE
Mr. Basharat Ali belongs to the valley of Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan region and he is currently a student of the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). Mr. Ali moved to Lahore at an early age, when he got admitted in the Aitchison College. He has done his O and A levels from the Aitchison College before joining IBA Karachi. During his stay at Aitchison, Mr. Ali proved his mettle in co-curricular activities by participating in Debates and inter-house parliamentary style debates. After a semester in IBA, Mr. Ali joined LUMS. After the first year at LUMS, he was selected as Cultural Ambassador for the fully funded Global UGRAD program funded by the State Department of United States. He has shown commitment to highlight cultural and social issues during his stay in the US. As a result, he was elected as the Treasurer Amnesty International Society at Nazareth College Rochester. Apart from studies, he plays an active role in social work and has provided services to various NGOs. He has been conducting Leadership events in his hometown Baltistan region.
