Ms. Vishal Shamsi belongs to Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh. She was born on February 07, 1990 and received early schooling from The City School. Upon completion of A levels from the L’e?cole, for Advanced Studies in Karachi she was enrolled in the University of London LLB programme and successfully completed her undergraduate degree in 2012. In 2013, she went to London and was trained as a Barrister at Lincoln’s Inn and a year later pursued LLM from the City University London. Currently, Ms. Shamsi is working as a legal advisor, mediator and conflict resolution trainer at the National Centre for Dispute Resolution (NCDR), Karachi. Author of a mystery novel ‘Fake, Flight and Found’ and former editor of yearly L’e?cole law journal, she won the interschool moot court competition during her LLB. Soon after the General Elections of 2013, she arranged a protest outside the Pakistani Embassy, London, against rigging which hundreds of people attended from all over the UK. As a trainer for NCDR, she has trained Judges, Ombudsman, religious clerks, social workers and police officers from all over Pakistan in the art of conflict prevention and mediation. In her free time, she likes to volunteer for The Citizens Foundation (TCF) and the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), and besides Urdu and English she has elementary proficiency in French and working proficiency in Turkish.
